Welcome to the New-Look ARM.gov!

ARM’s external news and information portal gets a refresh

The ARM website has six navigation tabs at the top of each page with a search bar and a Contact Us button. The User Program page includes information on what an ARM user is, the costs of using ARM (no fee), and links to forms, instructions, and other important pages for users. The page has additional navigation tabs for Code of Conduct, Constituent Groups, and User Statistics.
The new User Program landing page provides a one-stop experience for users to find the information and forms they need to engage with ARM.

The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) User Facility just launched its refreshed external news and information portal, ARM.gov, after more than eight years with the previous look.

The aim of the refreshed ARM.gov is to meet user needs with an audience-focused design instead of the previous news-focused design based on feedback from a fiscal year 2020 usability study and fiscal year 2023 website satisfaction survey.

Website redesign goals included:

  • implementing the latest best user experience practices and web standards
  • aligning with U.S. web design standards
  • creating straightforward navigation for new and potential ARM users
  • improving search engine optimization with unique page titles
  • integrating consistent searching capabilities
  • adding a new User Program area to create a one-stop experience for users to find the information and forms they need to engage with ARM.

ARM Communications staff will present a poster about the new-look ARM.gov during the 2025 Joint ARM User Facility/Atmospheric System Research (ASR) Principal Investigators Meeting in Rockville, Maryland. The presentation will be part of Poster Session 1 at 4:15 p.m. Eastern time Monday, March 3. Meeting attendees can visit the poster to learn more about the new changes to ARM.gov and share feedback.

If you would like to provide feedback now, please click on the Feedback tab located on the right-hand side of ARM.gov. You can also ask a question about the website

An improved instrument landing page makes it easier to filter choices between active and inactive instruments, while instrument pages now have a place to feature mentor videos.
