The Doppler Lidar Motion Correction Wind Profiles (DLMCPROF-WIND) VAP contains profiles of wind speed and direction that are computed using motion-corrected Doppler lidar data. DLMCPROF-WIND was specifically developed to process scanning data acquired by the ARM Doppler lidar aboard the icebreaker R/V Polarstern during the Multidisciplinary Drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition. The wind retrieval technique was adapted from the method ARM uses for processing its ground-based Doppler lidars (Newsom et al. 2017, Newsom et al. 2019).
